Film has long been part of what we do and love at 1900, and we’re excited to give it a proper home with the launch our new film series in Rose Hall. From documentaries and classics to cult favorites and contemporary gems, we’ll be bringing great stories to the screen all year long! ✨ 

We’re excited to kick off the 1900 Building Film Series and celebrate World Cup fever with Once in a Lifetime: The Extraordinary Story of the New York Cosmos.

This entertaining documentary chronicles the brief, dazzling rise of the star-studded New York Cosmos in the late 1970s, when Brazilian legend Pelé and other international greats were lured to the U.S. by free-spending owner Steve Ross. Featuring interviews with Marv Albert, Henry Kissinger, Mia Hamm, and more, the film is narrated by Matt Dillon and directed by Paul Crowder and John Dower.

With an 83% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it’s a fun, fascinating look at soccer, celebrity, and the team that helped spark America’s love affair with the world’s game.
