Warm your spirit and satiate your appetite for history this February. In the Belle Époque years before 1914, absinthe was celebrated in cafes and literature alike, but by the end of World War I, wine was synonymous with French culture. Learn why as you imbibe in an at-home tasting, and join an online conversation with Master of Wine and Master Sommelier Doug Frost and National WWI Museum and Memorial CEO Matthew Naylor. Starting with absinthe and ending with champagne, the pre-packaged pours and dessert are provided by The Restaurant at 1900.
Outside of the Greater Kansas City region? You can still reserve your online spot for the program with a purchase of the $10 “temperance ticket.” All proceeds benefit the education programs of the National WWI Museum and Memorial.
